Nick Casella

Founder/Partner of Health Insurance Associates, LLP and MedicareCT.com

Nick Casella is a resident and a business owner in the town of North Haven. Together with his wife, Elisa, they have two children, Cristina and their late son Marc. Nick was born in Caserta, Italy and at the age of 5, along with his parents and brother, immigrated to the United States in 1965 and settled in North Haven, CT. Nick is a proud alumnus of Notre Dame High School in West Haven and attended the University of Bridgeport and Southern CT State University. He began his insurance career in 1982 and in 1998, decided to establish his own insurance agency in North Haven, specializing in insurance products and services for people on Medicare.

Over the years, Nick has been involved in numerous community organizations and believes very much in giving back to the community, especially when those organizations involve helping children. He is a current member and past president of the North Haven Rotary Club, served as a big brother with the Nutmeg Big Brothers & Big Sisters Program, participated with the North Haven High School Mentor Program and the Quinnipiac Chamber Read Aloud Program, was a co-chairman of the Columbus Day Parade Committee of Greater North Haven, and is a Board member of the IYF (Italian Youth Foundation). Most recently, his agency participated in a household item and clothing drive to raise money for KOAH (Kids of America’s Heroes). Most near and dear to his heart is being part of the Marc Anthony Casella Education Fund, which has raised well over $200,000 since 2008 and, on an annual basis, awards scholarships to local students, as well as donations to families that have children with serious medical issues.

Above all else, what Nick cherishes the most is spending precious time with his family and friends enjoying good food, good wine, and lots of laughter.
