MARC ANTHONY CASELLA

MedicareCT.com was founded in 2007 by Marc Anthony Casella. Marc was a true businessman and entrepreneur. His vision for this website was to help educate and guide those who are approaching Medicare age and those already in the Medicare system needing insurance products and services.

Marc Anthony Casella died on March 6, 2008 in an automobile accident. He was a fun and loving young man who was always smiling. Marc enjoyed life and worked very hard at achieving success at every level. He was an honor student throughout all his years in school and was a scholar athlete at both Notre Dame High School in West Haven, CT and Babson College in Wellesley, MA, playing soccer and rugby. He earned a degree in Entrepreneurship from Babson College and went on to join the family business shortly after graduating. Marc also served as Vice President of the Italian American Youth Organization, Inc. (IYO) and helped establish the IYO Foundation.

Shortly after his passing, his family established the Marc Anthony Casella Education Fund within the very foundation Marc helped to establish, The IYO Foundation. Through various events like golf tournaments, and memorial breakfast and dinner events, the foundation has raised more than $200,000 since 2008. Not only are the funds used to award scholarships, but they are used to help families who are experiencing challenges with disabled children, as well as charities that help children with severe medical issues. The foundation has awarded well over $100,000 since 2008 and expects to continue to increase its giving.

Marc was a special young man who believed in giving back and helping those less fortunate. Although he was with us only 23 years, he lived an exceptionally full life filled with success, promise, and love. We hope to continue his legacy for many years to come by helping others in his name.
